Invest in the family
behind the business.

We help families invest in their qualitative capital: the people, relationships, knowledge, and shared purpose that give a family business its meaning and help sustain it across generations.

What endures begins
beneath the surface.

Your family’s wealth is more than financial.

Your business has a balance sheet. Your family has a story.
The trust you build, the wisdom you pass on, and the people you help become themselves deserve deliberate investment, too.

The capital behind the capital

Strengthen what
makes your family flourish.

Qualitative capital is a name for the strengths that don’t appear on a balance sheet. Investing in them means giving them time, attention, and care.

01 / PEOPLE

Human

Each person’s wellbeing, capabilities, and sense of purpose. Room to grow as an individual, not simply into a role.

02 / WISDOM

Intellectual

The knowledge, experience, and capacity to learn that your family builds and shares across generations.

03 / CONNECTION

Social

Trust, strong relationships, and the ability to work together and contribute beyond the family.

04 / MEANING

Spiritual

Your values, shared purpose, and sense of what your resources are for. Not a requirement to share a religious belief.

My focus is the family, not managing financial investments or replacing your technical advisors.

A relationship built
on listening, discretion,
and time.

I’m an Anglican priest and family advisor in Dallas. My work has brought me into conversations about identity, responsibility, conflict, and change, often when the right next step is not obvious.

Through The Larlee Group, I bring that experience and my preparation in family business and family wealth advising to families considering what they want to carry forward and how.

The French phrase personne de confiance captures something of the role: a person you trust. Not another product. A steady presence alongside your family.

From intention to practice

What the work
can look like.

Every family is different. We begin with your people, your history, and the questions that matter to you, not a predetermined programme.

“The aim is for the people and the family to flourish.”

A thoughtful beginning

No rush. No packaged answer.

The first step is a conversation about your family, what brings you here, and whether we might work well together.

01 / A conversation

Explore the fit.

An initial hour, without charge or obligation. A chance for us both to listen and ask questions.

02 / A season of listening

Understand the family.

If we proceed, conversations with family members individually and together, on terms we agree in advance.

03 / A shared plan

Choose what helps.

Decide together what support would be useful, for how long, and with what responsibilities on each side.

We agree the scope and fees before any paid work begins.

Trust needs clear boundaries.

Who does the relationship serve?

We agree at the start who the engagement serves and how the work includes individual family members. I do not act as a private channel for one person to influence another.

How are private conversations handled?

Before we begin, we put confidentiality arrangements and their limits in writing, including what may be shared with the wider family. Clear agreements protect the people and the relationship.

What falls outside your role?

I am not acting as your lawyer, therapist, or investment advisor. When a need calls for specialist help, I will say so and help you identify the appropriate kind of professional support.

The next chapter starts here

Let’s begin with a conversation.

If your family would value a steady presence as you invest in what matters most, I would welcome hearing from you.
